Mountain Area Community Services, Inc.(MACS) provides support and services to individuals in the intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) community. We provide services reaching across seven different counties such as Henderson, Buncombe, Haywood, McDowell and more
We are currently seeking someone to fill the following opening within the Fletcher area: Direct Care Provider – This position provides support services for an young female who needs I/DD support in the Fletcher area. Hours provided will be 15 hours per week on the average at $15.00 per hour with an opportunity for annual increases. Typical schedule will be Monday and Thursday from 2:45 pm to 8:30 pm plus one other day to be arranged weekly – may include a weekend day. Activities to be provided are: leading a disabled teen in an exercise program (chair yoga, stretching, and physical therapy exercises), helping teen learn to interact in the community, and providing support for hands-on activities.
•High school Diploma, GED or Equivalent
•Valid Driver’s License with Current Vehicle insurance
•Clean driving record
•Must be able to independently travel to assigned locations as needed\
•Able to work flexible hours according to the needs of the services and individuals
•Previous experience preferred
