Ric Luther’s career in human services began in 1991. He provided residential and community based direct care support for individuals in need of I/DD and/or mental health assistance. He also managed numerous group home facilities. Currently, Ric oversees finances, billing, contracts, and property management, as an owner of MACS, Inc.
Darlene has been with MACS for 8 years. She is an experienced HR Generalist with 17 years of experience in Human Resources and 23 years of experience in community services. She graduated from East Carolina University with a BS degree in Social Work and received her MBA-HR degree from Kaplan University. In her spare time, Darlene enjoys spending time with her family, travel, and reading.
Mike Mims is our Supervising Qualified Professional providing oversight for all activities primarily out of our Arden and Brevard office sites. Mike has well over 20 years of post-degree, professional experience supporting individuals with I/DD in North Carolina. After graduating from East Carolina University, Mike immediately returned to supporting at risk youth and young men with I/DD in a professional capacity here in WNC.
Mike is married, has two children, and is an avid orchid collector and breeder in his time away from work. Mike is the President of the Western North Carolina Orchid Society, is well known internationally for his work with orchids and is a renowned speaker in the industry. Mike has proudly been with our MACS, Inc. family for over 10 years.
Rick Zehr has been providing assisting people with disabilities for 26 years. Since 1995, Rick has provided direct care in community and residential settings, provided residential supervision and management of qualified professionals, has been responsible for program development and management and clinical supervision in both the mental health and developmental disabilities arenas. Since 2005, Rick has provided administration oversight, policy development, and quality oversight as an owner of MACS, Inc..
